Changing Lives:
Coltron's Sponsorship Commitment

At Coltron, we're stepping up where South Africa needs it most. In a country still healing from deep inequalities, too many people—especially those with severe disabilities and vulnerable families—are left without the basics: a safe home, education, or even a meal. Traditional support systems have faded, leaving gaps that no one else is filling. That's why we sponsor individuals and families directly, covering everything from rent to school fees. We're not waiting for change—we're making it happen. And we invite other companies to join us.

Why This Matters Now

South Africa's story is one of resilience, but also harsh realities. For adults with severe disabilities over 20, "homes" that once existed have closed, and families often can't cope—leaving them abandoned and without options. School kids from shack communities can't afford fees, uniforms, or transport, especially to better-resourced schools. Families lose homes and jobs due to discrimination based on skin color, trapped in a cycle of poverty.

We prioritise children and people with disabilities from all backgrounds because they deserve the first shot at stability. Our program isn't charity—it's a bridge to independence. Since starting, we've housed dozens, educated hundreds, and helped families rebuild. But one company can't do it alone. If Coltron can lead, imagine what we could achieve together.

How We Support—Real Aid, Real Impact

We handle the essentials so people can focus on their futures. No red tape, just results. Here's what sponsorship looks like:

  • Independent Living for Adults with Disabilities (Ages 20+): We pay rent for safe, private homes; cover food and groceries; fund medical care and therapies; hire cleaning services; and provide living assistants for daily support. No more abandonment—dignity on their terms.

  • Education for School Children in Need: For kids whose parents are homeless or broke, we cover full school fees (yes, even for historically "white" schools), uniforms, textbooks, supplies, and daily transport. Plus, basic food baskets for the family to keep everyone going.

  • Emergency Stability for Families: If discrimination has cost them their home or job, we pay rent and all basic living expenses—utilities, food, essentials—until they're back on their feet and self-sufficient.

Every sponsorship is customised, reviewed year-round, with urgent cases fast-tracked. We've seen kids graduate, adults find purpose, and families reclaim their lives. It's proof that targeted support works.

"Coltron didn't just pay the bills—they gave us back our hope. My son is in school now, and we're not looking back." — A Sponsored Mother, Johannesburg, 2024

Real Stories, Real Change

Meet the people we're proud to back (names changed for privacy):

  • Martin, 28, Living with Mobility Challenges: Abandoned after the "home" closed, He now has his own apartment. We cover his rent, wheelchair maintenance, groceries, and a part-time assistant. He's taking online courses in graphic design—his first step toward employment.

  • Minah: 12, Aspiring Student: From a shack community, her family couldn't afford school. We paid fees for a nearby school, got her uniform and books, and arranged transport. She's top of her class and dreams of being a doctor. We also send monthly food to her mom and basic humanising essentials.

  • The Smith Family: Evicted after job loss tied to racial bias, they were sleeping in a car. Now, rent is covered, plus groceries and utilities. The dad just landed a new gig—we helped with interview clothes. They're saving for their own place.

These aren't exceptions; they're what happens when companies commit.

Join the Movement—Other Companies, Step Up

Coltron's doing our part, but South Africa's challenges are everyone's. If you're a business leader reading this: Sponsor one person. Match our rent for a family. Fund a classroom of kids. It's not just good karma—it's smart business. Stable communities mean thriving economies, loyal talent, and brands people trust.

  • For Companies: Partner with us—co-sponsor a life or host a skills workshop.

  •  For Donors:

These donations stretch further when they're in-kind: Your food parcel becomes groceries on the table, your school bag or sponsorship of a school uniform or school fees means a child walks to class with pride. It's why we love partnering with everyday givers - join the list of quiet changemakers.

  • For Donors: Every rand counts. email partnerships@coltron.co.za if you do not want to be personally involved in the life of the person or persons that desperately need your assistance to regain their dignity. Email partnerships@coltron.co.za to get started.

Together, we can close these gaps. Who's with us? © 2025 Coltron. One sponsorship at a time, building a fairer South Africa.
